Delirium Series Review •Current Reads...

“We read to know that we are not alone.”

I am a huge bookworm when it comes to a great book! I love the feeling of being cuddled up in a story! I've always believed that everyone would love to read if they find that book that they cannot put down!
I have decided to make these little series in my blog once in while to talk about books that I finished recently and books that I am currently reading! They will be kinda like updates and reviews!

Before I start, I want to say that if you want to see what I've read, you could check my Goodreads account, just click here

Before I start can I say that I hate these covers; I hate when they use a face that is supposed to be a character. Well, moving on, I finished the delirium trilogy! If you don't know what the Delirium Series is about, here's a little explanation:

The Delirium series is a dystopian young adult novel written by Lauren Oliver about a young girl, Lena Haloway, who falls in love in a society where love is seen as a disease. The story is set in Portland, Maine, in an alternate present. Civilization is concentrated in those cities which escaped the severe bombings of decades past. Travel between cities is highly restricted. Electric fences separate the city from the Wilds—unregulated territory which was presumably mostly destroyed by bombs.
The totalitarian government teaches that love is a disease, named amor deliria nervosa, commonly referred to as "the deliria". A surgical cure for the deliria has been developed and is mandatory for citizens 18 years old and over. Lena has looked forward to the procedure for years, convinced as she is by the government that love is a horrible disease that must be destroyed from mankind's system.
However, mere months before her scheduled procedure, Lena falls in love.

[SPOILER ALERT]

Well now on my opinion, I read the first two books like a year ago, and I finally got the time to finish the third one.

Delirium was definitely my favorite of the three. The way they describe the world, the writing, the plot, everything was amazing. I really like when dystopian novels create the world with such detail, that you understand why people believe the political and society rules; this was one of that cases. Sometimes with dystopian societies I have trouble believing that the world could actually turn out that way, well, here the world felt real.  Lauren Oliver did an amazing job putting the words together, so beautifully, just like a poet! Also I love that they use like real literature, they link Romeo and Juliet and others! Delirium got 5 stars from me and is in my all time favorite books!

Then Pandemonium was good as well, but still delirium was better. When I was reading Pandemonium I felt that it was a tad bit slow, and I always wanted to get the "now" part! I really like that you could see a new side to Lena, not just the Lena that fell in love, a Lena that was surviving! Again, the writing was amazing! I give this 4 stars, just for the fact that I felt it slow!

And finally Requiem I really enjoyed it reading. I love the 2 points of view, Lena's one and Hannah's one! BUT, the big but, was the end; which I wasn't satisfied with. I felt like the end was too open, I felt really confused! Like we deduce Lena ends up with Alex, but where's everything else?! That's why I give Requiem 3 stars, because of the ending! And can I say, that Raven dying was so sad, I cried in that part when I was reading it!

Me at the ending:

Also PS, I totally imagine this:

Alex as Diego Boneta and Julian as Cody Simpson (even though I barely know Cody's music)! hahah

In conclusion, if you like dystopian novels, give this series a shot, you are not going to regret it! I really recommend this series! READ IT!

Well, what were your thoughts in the Delirium Series? Are you planing on reading it?

January Favorites • 2014

Hi guys! Today as a way to start the year I am writing a January Favorites! So sit back and enjoy!

↠ Beauty & Makeup Favorites ↞

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock (SPF 50)
I run from monday to friday, and I need something to protect my skin from the sun. I have sensitive skin, and when I'm in the sun without SPF, I get this horrible sunburns that hurt a lot :( I found that this sun block is amazing and I get no sunburns after, it resists my sweat and doesn't move.

VICHY Purete Thermale 3 in 1
I have a sample size that my mom gave me. I use this as a makeup remover. I really enjoy it using when I have not that much make up to waste a makeup remover towelette so I use a bit of these in a cotton round. It leaves my skin feeling clean, NO GREASY, which I really like.

Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair
This is kinda like a lip medication without smell and it works wonders. Leaves your lips feeling really soft and moisturized.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink
I think this base is perfect for everyday makeup, it looks really natural and glowy.

Essie Nail polishes in "lady like", "no more film" and "bikini so teeny"
I've been rotating these three nail polishes on my nails. Bikini so teeny is perfect for the toes! Lady like is perfect for an elegant and simple look, and no more film is a perfect all around color!

↠ Other Favorites ↞

The Fosters
I really like this show because the plot is so different from any tv series I've seen! Totally recommend it!

Pretty Little Liars
So PLL is back! I have been feeling like the series gave a new whole twist with Ezra being A. Now the series feels more creepier! haha

Escape Plan
Amazing movie with a great plot and actors! A lot of action!

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
Cute movie and really funny!

The Terminal
Awesome movie with Tom Hanks in it! I cried so much in this movie!

↠ Music ↞
I've been loving Margaux Avril. I'm not french nor I speak it! Even though I barely understand her french songs, I really like them! My favorite being her cover of "You only live once "by The Strokes because I before finding her cover I have been loving this song!

☆ Best of 2013 ☆

I am back!! And you have probably heard that thousands of times in my blog, but now that a new year is starting I'm putting my hopes up and trying to start blogging again, because I really enjoy it!

Well let's get to the point here! Today I'm doing my top 13 products of 2013! Also I am sharing others favorites too, such as tv, movies, etc! Some of them may be pretty obvious! Grab a cup of tea and continue reading!

Maybelline Color Tattoos
I freakin love these! They are so easy to use, they look like you spent a really long time doing your make up when you really just spent 30 seconds applying it! They have a great selection of colors; I own 3 of them: Bad to the bronze, Barely Branded and Inked in Pink!

Urban Decay Naked 2
Well, what can I say... this palette is amazing, I love it. Has the perfect amount of matte and shimmer! My favs are: Bootycall, Tease and Busted.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
THIS is one of my holy grail products. This is a hair masque that I use as a conditioner once a week. It leaves your hair extremely soft and moisturized. The smell is heavenly, and let me tell you, this wasn't cheap, but oh boy, this was worth the money. And also this lasts really long!

Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara
This is a very lengthening, though not so voluminous, which is admittedly drawback for some people. Personally I don't look for volume, because I really like a mascara that looks natural and not clumpy. It's a nice consistency, great formula, and separates and coats individual lashes quite well.

Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo
I have raved about this for a long time. This shampoo is amazing. It's smells awesome and it cleans your hair perfectly without drying it out. I have repurchased this thousands of times!

L'oreal Color Riche Balm
This are definitely an all time favorite lip product! It gives you that perfect natural hint of glossiness that isn't going to glue itself to your hair + they moisturize your lips! I already own 4 of these!

Tangle Teezer Brush
If you have hair you need one of these! I cannot quite believe it but its true, it goes through the most knotty, damaged, fragile hair, with no tugging, pulling or breakage! This is a holy grail product for me!

Benefit Eye Bright
This is an all around awesome product! There are so many uses for it, like on your brow bone, as an eyeliner, on the inner corner, as cream eye shadow, etc. Great consistency!

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Concealer
I think this product is totally under rated. The formula is liquid, BUT there is a roll on applicator that helps not to pour too much product. I just use it to hide dark circles and it works wonders!

L'occitane Angelica Hydration Cream
This is a holy grail product for me. It's completely amazing. Good smell, sinks in, not greasy, and I could continue with good things about it.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine
This shade specifically I love. It gives a really sheer tint to your lips, with great smell and moisture.

OPI "Lincoln Park After Dark" Nail Polish
This is a dark purple almost black. It looks beautiful when it's worn. Nice quality, the brush is the perfect size, and the application is nice too.

Benefit They're Real! Mascara
This product is the best, it separates my lashes, makes them look fuller and longer. It also holds my lashes in place after curling them.

October Favorites • 2013

HI GUUUUUUUYS!! I am again late, but you know we are finishing the year so we are almost! I have been so busy lately, and I promise that I haven't forget you, it's just that the days need more hours (he he)!!
I decided to do october and november favorites in two different posts because I've already taken the pictures for the october post!! Well, hope you enjoy!!

Colgate Luminous White Tooth Paste
This toothpaste is freaking amazing! I hate tooth pastes that are extremely minty because they make me cry, ha ha, but this paste is minty but in the perfect quantity! Also it leaves your teeth whiter!

VS Dream Angels Heavenly Perfume
I love this scent! It's a warm scent with floral smells and a touch of seduction! Perfect for everyday scent! it makes me feel very clean and feminine. I love feeling clean and that alone makes this scent quite comforting. I only do one spray a day because it is overpowering and for me I can still smell at at the end of the day!

Revlon Kabuki Brush
I use this brush for powder application and it works wonders! Its soft and dense to provide me with a nice decent coverage. Doesn't feel scratchy at the slightest! It's a great brush for the affordable price!

Nivea Kiss lip butter // in Caramel Kiss
It does what it's supposed to. Moisturises well and leaves lips feeling soft. I put it on at night to prevent overnight drying of my lips. I didn't expect the containers to have so much lip butter in them, they last for a long time and they smell really good. Not much of a flavor to them though

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact // in Rose
This is gorgeous applied as a stand alone blush to the apples of my cheeks. Also it works wonderfully as an eyeshadow palette! Very pretty, unique product, and the lightest strip particularly makes a great highlighter. The consistency is super soft and blendable. Expect a review for this product in the future!

SpaRitual nail polish // in Delight
This nail polish brand I discovered one day with my cousin! We investigate it a bit more about and we learn that this was a vegan and DBP, Formaldehyde and Toluene free! It's really creamy and it lasts for a long time! I love this color specially, but I have to say that you need 4 coats!

Favorite Movies:

The Call
A great movie for action and suspense! If you like movies like Taken, you are going to love this! It keeps you on the edge of your seat all the time! Great casting as well!

John Tucker must die
A great chick flick movie! Really funny and entertaining!

The Internship
Amazing moviee! Wonderful casting, really funny! Love it!

Stuck In Love
Definitely one of my all time favorites! Made me laugh and cry! Perfect romantic movie! Great plot and casting!

Today I'm doing to monthly favorites in one, yeah, I know I'm a bit late, but better late than ever! I promise that next monthly favorites are going to be on time!

Urban Decay Lip Junkie // in Naked
So I got this lipgloss with my naked 2 palette, I started wearing it recently and I love it! It has like a minty flavor and a great color that matches every lip color!

Estee Lauder nail polish // in Berry Desire
This is like my first high end nail polish! I tried it and it is amazing! It has more of a liquid consistency rather than thick. The color is exactly what the bottle shows!

Benefit Benetint
I have the mini version that I got on a set! I wasn't expecting much, but when I tried it, I totally fell in love with it! It has an awesome smell! I would totally buy the full version!

Benefit "They are real" mascara
This joined the group of my favorite mascaras! All the rave it's true, this mascara is amazing! The texture and the brush make everything! I am totally buying this again!

Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette
I didn't use this for a long time until now! I started trying new looks with this palette and I am loving it! Obviously, knowing myself, I just use the neutral shadows!

Yankee Candle // in Home Sweet Home
Bath & Body work's candle are still my favs, I just wanted to try a new brand! The smell of this candle is just so cozy! This candle is not as strong as other candles!

L'oreal Ever Sleek Leave-In Cream
I have used this for a really long time! I love how it leaves my hair! Also it is sulfate free; I apply it when i get out of the shower and my hair is towel dried!

I loved this movie! Great landscape, awesome actors! Obviously, Nicholas Sparks!

I really liked this movie! Great plot and it was just something different for a romantic movie!

July Favorites • 2013

And we are in August! How time flies, right?
Today I am showing you my favs for the past month! I don't have a lot, but hope you enjoy!

Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara // in Very Black
I really like this mascara! Firstly because I'm a sucker for lengthening mascaras (umm...covergirl lash blast length, maybelline illegal length, don't you see a pattern there!). This mascara makes your lashes big and separated! I really don't know which one I prefer yet, the covergirl or the maybelline one!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter // in Sugar Plum
I'm a sucker for berry colors as well, and this is the perfect berry color, it's not super dramatic nor super sheer!

OPI Nail Polish // Lincoln Park After Dark
THIS NAIL POLISH IS THE BOMB.COM! I would repurchase this color over and over again! It has a perfect consistency and a perfect color!

Victoria's Secret Ultimate Look Shadow Trio // in Royal
I always come back to this trio! I think I like it because of the colors! They compliment really good with my skin and my eye color (green)!

Bath & Body Works Body Lotion // in Dark Kiss
I have decided, my favorite smell for body lotion and body spray is Dark Kiss! It's just amazing, it's sweet, sexy and perfect, all at the same time!

Whittard Flavour Instant Tea // in Damson Plum
Another Whittard tea, I know, I'm kinda obsessed! This flavour is really different from any of the other ones, I almost feel like I'm drinking flowers!

Favorite TV Shows and Movies:

Pretty Little Liars // Season 4
Obviously, this has to be one of my favorites! The new season is AMAZING!

The Vampire Diaries // Season 1
I started watching the vampire diaries, and wasn't expecting that much, I'm not a fan of the vampire phase, but I gave it a chance! And know I'm just hooked on it!

Hangover Part III
What a great movie! I have watched every single hangover movie, so I had tow watch this one! No comments, in my opinion, the best one!

Prom
Just a cute movie I watched when I was bored! I have to say that I was really impressed, I didn't expect a lot for this movie!

Pacific Rim
Another movie I wasn't interested in! My dad wanted to watch it, so I watch it with him, and I have to says that I was shocked, it was REALLY GOOD!

☼ Light Summer Makeup ☼

Hi guys! Today I'm doing my light summer makeup routine! Showing you step by step my routine and my staples for a light look! Hope you enjoy!

1.- Apply a light brightening concealer. I apply my Maybelline Age Rewind (which I love) in my under eye circles and a little farther in my face for a bright look!

2.- Apply powder. I apply an old Revlon Colorstay Powder (which I'm almost out) in my face. This helps setting the concealer.

3.- Apply a cream eyeshadow. I'm using my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yoghurt, which is a really pretty champagne color, perfect for the lid!

4.- Apply a light color to the inner corner. I'm using another NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese, which is a pearl color.

5.- Apply eyeliner. I'm using just an old eyeliner that I have, you can use any black or brown eyeliner you have! The trick is to lightly apply it on the outer lower lashes for a fuller look!

6.- Apply your favorite waterproof mascara. Here I applied two of my favorites, Covergirl LashBlast Length in Black/Brown and Lancome Virtuose Mascara. Apply to lower and upper lashes!

7.- Apply a tinted lip balm. Here I was deciding between 2 of my favorite tinted lip balms, L'oreal Color Riche Lip balm in Rose Elixir and Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine.

And my look is complete! What are your makeup staples for the summer?

NOTD: Essie - First Timer • 2013

Essie, essie, essie; you never let me down! The nail polish for today is Essie First Timer from the Resort Collection from this year! I would describe this color as a mix between a mint color and a true bright green. There is definitely a turquoise tinge to this one and it isn't quite a true green. A really original color!

2 coats + top coat, natural light

From left to right: OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, Essie First Timer and OPI Mermaid Tears.
Here's a picture comparing Essie first timer side by side with OPI Gargantuan Green Grape and OPI Mermaid Tears (review here).

Overall I really like this nail polish. I think is perfect for my skin tone and it applies like a dream!

Hope you guys enjoy! Would you go for a color like this?

Products I Regret Buying • 2013

So hi guys!! Today I am writing one of my favorite type of videos/post, the famous "Products I Regret Buying". A very controversial video/post! I think these are really helpful because it gives you other points of view on different products! I really like to research before splurging or buying a product most of the time! So here it is:

ps: not because this products didn't work for me, doesn't mean that they will not work on you, I am just giving my honest opinion!

- John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation: I was really disappointed, because I love John Frieda products but this one I really didn't like. It left some type of residue on my hair, and it didn't do what it claimed! But my mom on the other hand loves this product!

- Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner: The reason I didn't like this product was purely because it broke me out! But it felt really nice on my skin! Again, on the other hand I gave this to my mom and she likes it!

- Essence My Skin 4 in 1 cleansing cream: This is one of the few products I HATE. First it broke me up. Second it felt really itchy on my skin and it felt like I had some type of acid that was kinda of destroying my skin. And third, this didn't claim any of the 4 things it said!

- X out Shine Control: I got this in one of my "My Glam" bag! I didn't like it because it felt like stretching my skin and I really didn't ever reach out for this product!

- Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara: I didn't like this mascara because it was like "too" much for me, like it was like really dramatic, and the brush is really big so I ended up messing with all of my eye makeup!

- NYX Roll On Shimmer in Light Blue: Again, I got this in one "My Glam" bag. I didn't like it because the color isn't really wearable and it always left fall over  in my skin!

- Maybelline Super Natural Mat Foundation in Nude: This foundation was really hard to apply and blend. It is really dry and it didn't look natural! After like 1 hour it left like patches of foundation on my skin!

- Jordana Eyeliner in White: Well, this was like $99 cents. It was really cheap so I expected to work like it did. It isn't pigmented at all and it was so hard to apply. I had to like poke my eye with it!

Hope you guys enjoy! What are products that you regret buying?

Empties #1 • 2013

From left to right: Bath & Body Works IntoThe Wild Body Lotion(it on sale for $4!!)// Paul Mitchell The Detangler Conditioner// Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo// Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner// Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes// OPI RapiDry Top Coat// L'oreal Magic Lumi Concealer// Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint anti-bacterial hand gel// Bioré Nose Pore Strips// Sally Hansen Fast Acting Polish Remover// Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner// OPI Nail Strengthener// La Roche-Posay Effaclar gel moussant purifiant

Hi guys!! So pretty much I love watching videos and reading posts about what products people have used up; yeah, I know, I'm weird. The cool thing is you actually get to see what people think about the product!
Because of my love with "empties" I decided to start doing them. Maybe there's someone out there with my same opinion! Relax and read, hope you guys enjoy!

 - Bath & Body Works IntoThe Wild Body Lotion: I really like Bath & Body Works body lotions, they have amazing smells and the smell stays for a really long time. I have gotten a bunch of compliments from the Into the wild smell, it has like a tropical, fruity smell that wakes you up!

Paul Mitchell The Detangler Conditioner: I tried this small sample and I really didn't think it did that much, I would definitely not repurchase it!

Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo: I freakin love this shampoo! I have repurchase it a ton of times and I'm going to repurchase it again. It's a clarifying shampoo, I don't use it on it's own, I have try it alone and it does not work that great! I use first my favorite shampoo which is my clear something smooth shampoo and then I use this one, I think it's like the best combo ever, I have been using it for a really long time, maybe 10 months! And by the way it's smells AMAZIIING!!

Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner: Another sample. I think this conditioner was ok, it was like normal. I would not repurchase it!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes: Touchy subject for me. I have tried a lot of make up removers towelettes, and I always come back to this ones, they are amazing, they take everything, they don't make my face itchy or sensitive! I have repurchase this a thousand of times I would continue to do it.

OPI RapiDry Top Coat: I got this baby sample in a set! I tried and it was ok, it dried up really fast, so that is a con. I think there are cheaper and better options out there. I would not repurchase it!

 - L'oreal Magic Lumi Concealer: I loveee this concealer, it brightens up your hole face and it's light! Overall it's a really good concealer! I would definitely buy it again!

Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint anti-bacterial hand gel: I really like these anti bacterial gels, this smell was great!

BiorĂ© Nose Pore Strips: I really like nose pore strips, these worked really good. I would repurchase them!

- Sally Hansen Fast Acting Polish Remover: I really don't know what to say about this. It was a good nail polish remover, it removed every color, it didn't left my hands dry! Mmmm, that's all!

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner: This is a really good conditioner, I like to rotate my conditioners but this is a line that I always come back to, they smell really good, they leave my hair soft, they are affordable, yada yada! I would repurchase it!

OPI Nail Strengthener: This really makes a difference, I've been using this for years, and my nails almost never break! I would repurchase it!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar gel moussant purifiant: I really like this face wash, I've been using them for years. They are really good when I'm with sensitive skin. I love the scent that it has! I would definitely repurchase it!

Well, that was all, hope you guys enjoy this post, and let me know in the comment below if you like empties posts!!

My OPI Glitter Nail Polishes • Nails

Hi guys! Don't you like glitter? It's just one of the best inventions! My favorite way to wear it is on nails! So today I'm showing you a piece of my nail polish collection! After, I can show you guys my non OPI glitter nail polish collection! Let's start!

Random fact: this was my first nail polish ever!
I got this nail polish a long time ago, but it's still one of my all time favorites! This is not a chunky glitter polish, it's really sheer so be sure to put a color under! I recommend using any type of blue tone or black nail polish! There’s a lot of depth to this polish, which makes it special! You can buy it here.

This polish! It has really chunky glitter, multicolor! Just like the name says! It's like a rainbow on your nails! You can buy it here.

Divine swine, definitely one of my favs! I have used it a LOT! I really like wearing it with OPI "Pamplona purple", I have a NOTD about it, so if you want to see it just click here. You can buy it here.

For me, this nail polish has become a tradition! Every time around christmas I put it on my nails! In my opinion this screams Christmas! I normally use this with a red polish underneath, but I'm sure it will still look good with nothing underneath. I have NOTD here. You can buy it here.

Teenage Dream is a baby pink glitter polish! It has a thick consistency, but surprisingly easy to apply! This looks gorgeous with a baby pink color underneath! I really like this nail polish! You can buy it here.

In the picture above you have swatches of every color! As you can see "Excuse Moi" and "Teenage Dream" are really opaque, so you really don't need to apply a color underneath! Every swatch is just on swept!

Hope you guys enjoy this post!! What's you favorite glitter nail polish?
