Delirium Series Review •Current Reads...

“We read to know that we are not alone.”

I am a huge bookworm when it comes to a great book! I love the feeling of being cuddled up in a story! I've always believed that everyone would love to read if they find that book that they cannot put down!
I have decided to make these little series in my blog once in while to talk about books that I finished recently and books that I am currently reading! They will be kinda like updates and reviews!

Before I start, I want to say that if you want to see what I've read, you could check my Goodreads account, just click here

Before I start can I say that I hate these covers; I hate when they use a face that is supposed to be a character. Well, moving on, I finished the delirium trilogy! If you don't know what the Delirium Series is about, here's a little explanation:

The Delirium series is a dystopian young adult novel written by Lauren Oliver about a young girl, Lena Haloway, who falls in love in a society where love is seen as a disease. The story is set in Portland, Maine, in an alternate present. Civilization is concentrated in those cities which escaped the severe bombings of decades past. Travel between cities is highly restricted. Electric fences separate the city from the Wilds—unregulated territory which was presumably mostly destroyed by bombs.
The totalitarian government teaches that love is a disease, named amor deliria nervosa, commonly referred to as "the deliria". A surgical cure for the deliria has been developed and is mandatory for citizens 18 years old and over. Lena has looked forward to the procedure for years, convinced as she is by the government that love is a horrible disease that must be destroyed from mankind's system.
However, mere months before her scheduled procedure, Lena falls in love.

[SPOILER ALERT]

Well now on my opinion, I read the first two books like a year ago, and I finally got the time to finish the third one.

Delirium was definitely my favorite of the three. The way they describe the world, the writing, the plot, everything was amazing. I really like when dystopian novels create the world with such detail, that you understand why people believe the political and society rules; this was one of that cases. Sometimes with dystopian societies I have trouble believing that the world could actually turn out that way, well, here the world felt real.  Lauren Oliver did an amazing job putting the words together, so beautifully, just like a poet! Also I love that they use like real literature, they link Romeo and Juliet and others! Delirium got 5 stars from me and is in my all time favorite books!

Then Pandemonium was good as well, but still delirium was better. When I was reading Pandemonium I felt that it was a tad bit slow, and I always wanted to get the "now" part! I really like that you could see a new side to Lena, not just the Lena that fell in love, a Lena that was surviving! Again, the writing was amazing! I give this 4 stars, just for the fact that I felt it slow!

And finally Requiem I really enjoyed it reading. I love the 2 points of view, Lena's one and Hannah's one! BUT, the big but, was the end; which I wasn't satisfied with. I felt like the end was too open, I felt really confused! Like we deduce Lena ends up with Alex, but where's everything else?! That's why I give Requiem 3 stars, because of the ending! And can I say, that Raven dying was so sad, I cried in that part when I was reading it!

Me at the ending:

Also PS, I totally imagine this:

Alex as Diego Boneta and Julian as Cody Simpson (even though I barely know Cody's music)! hahah

In conclusion, if you like dystopian novels, give this series a shot, you are not going to regret it! I really recommend this series! READ IT!

Well, what were your thoughts in the Delirium Series? Are you planing on reading it?

January Favorites • 2014

Hi guys! Today as a way to start the year I am writing a January Favorites! So sit back and enjoy!

↠ Beauty & Makeup Favorites ↞

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock (SPF 50)
I run from monday to friday, and I need something to protect my skin from the sun. I have sensitive skin, and when I'm in the sun without SPF, I get this horrible sunburns that hurt a lot :( I found that this sun block is amazing and I get no sunburns after, it resists my sweat and doesn't move.

VICHY Purete Thermale 3 in 1
I have a sample size that my mom gave me. I use this as a makeup remover. I really enjoy it using when I have not that much make up to waste a makeup remover towelette so I use a bit of these in a cotton round. It leaves my skin feeling clean, NO GREASY, which I really like.

Eucerin Aquaphor Lip Repair
This is kinda like a lip medication without smell and it works wonders. Leaves your lips feeling really soft and moisturized.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Inked in Pink
I think this base is perfect for everyday makeup, it looks really natural and glowy.

Essie Nail polishes in "lady like", "no more film" and "bikini so teeny"
I've been rotating these three nail polishes on my nails. Bikini so teeny is perfect for the toes! Lady like is perfect for an elegant and simple look, and no more film is a perfect all around color!

↠ Other Favorites ↞

The Fosters
I really like this show because the plot is so different from any tv series I've seen! Totally recommend it!

Pretty Little Liars
So PLL is back! I have been feeling like the series gave a new whole twist with Ezra being A. Now the series feels more creepier! haha

Escape Plan
Amazing movie with a great plot and actors! A lot of action!

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
Cute movie and really funny!

The Terminal
Awesome movie with Tom Hanks in it! I cried so much in this movie!

↠ Music ↞
I've been loving Margaux Avril. I'm not french nor I speak it! Even though I barely understand her french songs, I really like them! My favorite being her cover of "You only live once "by The Strokes because I before finding her cover I have been loving this song!

☆ Best of 2013 ☆

I am back!! And you have probably heard that thousands of times in my blog, but now that a new year is starting I'm putting my hopes up and trying to start blogging again, because I really enjoy it!

Well let's get to the point here! Today I'm doing my top 13 products of 2013! Also I am sharing others favorites too, such as tv, movies, etc! Some of them may be pretty obvious! Grab a cup of tea and continue reading!

Maybelline Color Tattoos
I freakin love these! They are so easy to use, they look like you spent a really long time doing your make up when you really just spent 30 seconds applying it! They have a great selection of colors; I own 3 of them: Bad to the bronze, Barely Branded and Inked in Pink!

Urban Decay Naked 2
Well, what can I say... this palette is amazing, I love it. Has the perfect amount of matte and shimmer! My favs are: Bootycall, Tease and Busted.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
THIS is one of my holy grail products. This is a hair masque that I use as a conditioner once a week. It leaves your hair extremely soft and moisturized. The smell is heavenly, and let me tell you, this wasn't cheap, but oh boy, this was worth the money. And also this lasts really long!

Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara
This is a very lengthening, though not so voluminous, which is admittedly drawback for some people. Personally I don't look for volume, because I really like a mascara that looks natural and not clumpy. It's a nice consistency, great formula, and separates and coats individual lashes quite well.

Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo
I have raved about this for a long time. This shampoo is amazing. It's smells awesome and it cleans your hair perfectly without drying it out. I have repurchased this thousands of times!

L'oreal Color Riche Balm
This are definitely an all time favorite lip product! It gives you that perfect natural hint of glossiness that isn't going to glue itself to your hair + they moisturize your lips! I already own 4 of these!

Tangle Teezer Brush
If you have hair you need one of these! I cannot quite believe it but its true, it goes through the most knotty, damaged, fragile hair, with no tugging, pulling or breakage! This is a holy grail product for me!

Benefit Eye Bright
This is an all around awesome product! There are so many uses for it, like on your brow bone, as an eyeliner, on the inner corner, as cream eye shadow, etc. Great consistency!

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Concealer
I think this product is totally under rated. The formula is liquid, BUT there is a roll on applicator that helps not to pour too much product. I just use it to hide dark circles and it works wonders!

L'occitane Angelica Hydration Cream
This is a holy grail product for me. It's completely amazing. Good smell, sinks in, not greasy, and I could continue with good things about it.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine
This shade specifically I love. It gives a really sheer tint to your lips, with great smell and moisture.

OPI "Lincoln Park After Dark" Nail Polish
This is a dark purple almost black. It looks beautiful when it's worn. Nice quality, the brush is the perfect size, and the application is nice too.

Benefit They're Real! Mascara
This product is the best, it separates my lashes, makes them look fuller and longer. It also holds my lashes in place after curling them.
