April/May Favorites • 2013

Hi everyone!! Hope you all are having an awesome friday! Today I'm showing you my April/May favorites! I know I'm really late, but I was really busy! Enjoy!!

Nivea Soft Cream

As I told you guys on my last post, I went on vacations with my family! And I got a really bad sunburnt on my back, so every night I applied this, and it really help soothing and refreshing my back! It's light and has a good smell!

Essie nail polish// in "Fun in the Gondola"

I bought this recently, and I love it! It is a cool toned mauved pink, perfect for everyday wear!

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush// in "Hot Tamale"

Maybelline dream bouncy blushes, ugh, a really controversial product in the beauty world! It's a bit tricky to apply, at first I used to apply it with my fingers and I hated it, but then I try with a flat blush brush and it worked like wonders!

EOS lip balm// in"Balm Summer Fruit Smooth Sphere"

I like EOS lip balms! At first I didn't like them because I felt that they didn't hydrate my ups! But after using them constantly I started to love it! I think the trick is that you have to just "break them in" just as new shoes!

Rose bud lip salve

I know, I know, I've already talk about this on a monthly favorites!! But this month I found other uses for this product! I was reading some beauty articles and they said that this was great as a highlighter and as a brow gel, so I tried it and they were right! Even if it sound weird it works amazing! So overall I freakin love this product!

Calvin Klein Aviator Sunglasses

I love this sunglasses, I can't stop wearing them! I got them at an outlet, at a really good price! They match everything!

Favorite Food Favorites: bagels and cream cheese! 

Favorite TV shows and movies:

Oblivion Movie

I watched this movie on April and I loved it! It was really good! Tom Cruise acted really good! In general, a great sci-fi movie!

The Host

I watched this movie with some friends and I really liked it! I wished I read the book before watching the movie but I couldn't resist! I'm not really sure if I'm reading the book because I hate knowing what happens! Great actors! Two hotties! Overall a great movie!

Iron Man 3

My family is a big Iron Man fan, so we went and watched and I think it was the best so far!! If you haven't watched any Iron Man movie, please watch it!!

Underemployed

I finished the season, and I was so saaaad!! I would really like that they do another season!! Please MTV!!

My Pool/Beach Essentials • Summer 2013

Hi guys!!!!!! 

I'm back!! The past months have been crazy; I was so busy with school, then I went on family vacations and now I'm catching up with school work! 

One of the places I went was tropical! Beach, pool, sand, etc! While I was there I thought why not show you guys what I really bring? 

1) A book: I always bring a book with me, one of my favorite things to do is to read. My current reading material (so fancy) is "Pandemonium" Lauren Oliver's second book in the "Delirium" trilogy (one of my favs).

2) Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix: I usually put a pea size amount on my hair before going to the beach/pool, I think is a way to give my hair some shine!

3) Sunglasses: This are my new sunglasses. I have been looking for the perfect sunglasses, and I finally found them. I wanted some aviator, I found this on sale by Calvin Klein, they are just perfect!

4) Nivea Soft body lotion: This is a must for me! I am pale so I get sunburnt, A LOT! I like to moisturize, so I like to use it to refresh the parts that I got sunburnt!

5) Face sunblock: I freakin love the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer spf 50. It doesn't break me out, it feels light, it's not oily, it's just AMAZING!

6) Hair band: when it gets really hot or when I go into the pool and I don't want to get my hair wet!

7) Body Sunblock (not shown in the picture): I always carry a spray one, I think is easier! My favorite one is the Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen Spray spf 70.

March Favorites (Late) • 2013

Hi everyone!!!
New month, new favorites! The past month wasn't really an exciting month in the area of trying new products! I was extremely busy and I still am!

Where I live, it was extremely cold so I definitely ingested more tea than normal!

VS Body Spray // The Body Mist

This body mist is one of those mists that are sweet, fresh, clean, sporty and girly! No head ache, no nausea, no transforming into a different smell after a few hours, it lasts and lasts.  I normally spray it after I shower, and it makes me feel fresh and clean!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Clear Wash Exfoliating Facial // Pink Grapefruit

I love this face wash! I use it every day in the shower, because I don't like to use normal soap on my face because it break me out! It has this little particles that gently exfoliate your face leaving it really soft, clean and fresh! I don't have oily skin but this works perfectly on my skin!

L'oreal Color Riche Lip Balm // in Rose Elixir

I love this lip product! It's like a mix of a lipgloss and a tinted lip balm. It adds a bit of color to your lips with a glossy finish! It feels really soft! It's great for every day use!

Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo

This dry shampoo is great! It has a great smell, you need a bit so it lasts for ever! What I do is put some on my hands, rub my palms together and work through my hair and then brush out. The fresh citrus scent leaves your hair smelling great. I have brown hair, not so dark, and it doesn't leave my hair looking grey!

Insurgent book by Veronica Roth

I whip this book in 5 days! It was so freakin good! The only bad thing is that I have to wait till OCTOBER for the last book!! And the end!!!!!! PERFECT!

Yankee Candle // in Farmers Market

This candle is the best cozy cinnamon smell! It's fruity and inviting! The cinnamon is not over the top, and that's great because if it was over the top it would be a christmasy smell!

Yankee candle describe this scent as:

"Autumn's freshest bounty . . . sweet berries, juicy apples, succulent peaches and warm spices."

Whittard Instant Tea // in Black & Currant and Apple & White Cranberry

Whittard tea is the best tea eveeer! The past month I finished 2 jars! I freakin love it! I drink it every single day. They look like this:

The two flavors I finished are:

- Blackcurrant & Elderflower Instant Tea: described as "deliciously sharp blackcurrant flavour with the indulgent and tangy sweetness of elderflower, a traditional English summer drink."

- Low Calorie - Apple & White Cranberry Green Instant Tea: described as "instant low calorie green tea drink with the natural flavour of apple, white cranberry with extract of hibiscus and green tea."

Pretty Little Liars

This season was AMAZING! I can't wait for the new season! I just was shocked!

Underemployed

I started watching this series on MTV just because Diego Boneta is in it! And I just got hooked in it, the bad thing is that they don't have a lot episodes!

Catfish

Another MTV series, but this one is like a docu reality about dating in the digital world! I like to see people's reaction and the mystery if the profiles are real or fake!

Like Crazy Movie

I love this movie! I found that it was real and it just made me cry! If you like romantic movies definitely watch it!

Beauty Things I SUCK At

Hi everyone! I have seen this tag floating around youtube, created by Kim (Rubenesquex3)! I decided to do it because I think is such an original idea, so I decided to bring it into the blogger world!

Here are the beauty things I SUCK at:

1.- Painting my right hand with my left hand!
I am such a pro when it comes to paint my left hand, but when  it comes to painting my right hand is such a mess! You know that tip of putting nail polish remover on a cue tip to clean the edges of your nails? Well, that doesn't work at all for me at all, because I paint my whole freakin finger with nail polish!

2.- Any type upper lid eyeliner on myself!
I don't have a problem doing the upper eyeliner on other people, even winged! But when I do it on my self I end up with all my lid cover in black eyeliner; I know practice makes perfect but in this case I think I'm done!

3.- Sock Buns!
I can do a messy bun, a quick bun, BUT, the sock bun is not my forte! I even have one of those sock thingies to do it, and it really doesn't work; it ends up like a mess with a ton of knots!

4.- Colorful eyeshadow looks!
I am really bad at going out of my comfort zone of neutrals color! The only color I have worn was the typical pop of color in the lower lash line; nothing else!

5.- Cleaning my brushes
I am so lazy when it comes to cleaning my brushes! I know you are supposed to wash them once a week but I wash them like once a month (hehe)!

That's pretty much I can think of! I don't use self tanner or any type of tanning so I really don't have a problem with that!

DIY Lip Scrub {straight from the kitchen}

Hi guys, today I am really excited because I did a new video! YAY!

I did a DIY Lip Scrub which has a lot of benefits for your lips!

You want to have vogue lips, no creases when you wear lipsticks! Many brands are coming with their spring collections with bright colors and for that you will need to exfoliate your lips!

But luckily, we can all head over to our kitchens or grocery stores and tackle it head on.  Here is a perfect really easy solution for chapped lips:



How to use it?

Coat your lips with the lip scrub. Leave it on for a few minutes then start gently scrubbing with your finger until all the dead skin goes. Then immediately apply a lip conditioner or lip balm to moisturizing them after exfoliation!

Other tips...

- I recommend keeping these lip scrub in the refrigerator because we are using natural ingredients, so you want to keep it in a cool place away from the sunlight!

- This scrub also works for cuticles or dry patches on your hands!
