NOTD: Essie - First Timer • 2013

Essie, essie, essie; you never let me down! The nail polish for today is Essie First Timer from the Resort Collection from this year! I would describe this color as a mix between a mint color and a true bright green. There is definitely a turquoise tinge to this one and it isn't quite a true green. A really original color!

2 coats + top coat, natural light

From left to right: OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, Essie First Timer and OPI Mermaid Tears.
Here's a picture comparing Essie first timer side by side with OPI Gargantuan Green Grape and OPI Mermaid Tears (review here).

Overall I really like this nail polish. I think is perfect for my skin tone and it applies like a dream!

Hope you guys enjoy! Would you go for a color like this?

Products I Regret Buying • 2013

So hi guys!! Today I am writing one of my favorite type of videos/post, the famous "Products I Regret Buying". A very controversial video/post! I think these are really helpful because it gives you other points of view on different products! I really like to research before splurging or buying a product most of the time! So here it is:

ps: not because this products didn't work for me, doesn't mean that they will not work on you, I am just giving my honest opinion!

- John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation: I was really disappointed, because I love John Frieda products but this one I really didn't like. It left some type of residue on my hair, and it didn't do what it claimed! But my mom on the other hand loves this product!

- Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner: The reason I didn't like this product was purely because it broke me out! But it felt really nice on my skin! Again, on the other hand I gave this to my mom and she likes it!

- Essence My Skin 4 in 1 cleansing cream: This is one of the few products I HATE. First it broke me up. Second it felt really itchy on my skin and it felt like I had some type of acid that was kinda of destroying my skin. And third, this didn't claim any of the 4 things it said!

- X out Shine Control: I got this in one of my "My Glam" bag! I didn't like it because it felt like stretching my skin and I really didn't ever reach out for this product!

- Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express Waterproof Mascara: I didn't like this mascara because it was like "too" much for me, like it was like really dramatic, and the brush is really big so I ended up messing with all of my eye makeup!

- NYX Roll On Shimmer in Light Blue: Again, I got this in one "My Glam" bag. I didn't like it because the color isn't really wearable and it always left fall over  in my skin!

- Maybelline Super Natural Mat Foundation in Nude: This foundation was really hard to apply and blend. It is really dry and it didn't look natural! After like 1 hour it left like patches of foundation on my skin!

- Jordana Eyeliner in White: Well, this was like $99 cents. It was really cheap so I expected to work like it did. It isn't pigmented at all and it was so hard to apply. I had to like poke my eye with it!

Hope you guys enjoy! What are products that you regret buying?

Empties #1 • 2013

From left to right: Bath & Body Works IntoThe Wild Body Lotion(it on sale for $4!!)// Paul Mitchell The Detangler Conditioner// Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo// Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner// Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes// OPI RapiDry Top Coat// L'oreal Magic Lumi Concealer// Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint anti-bacterial hand gel// Bioré Nose Pore Strips// Sally Hansen Fast Acting Polish Remover// Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner// OPI Nail Strengthener// La Roche-Posay Effaclar gel moussant purifiant

Hi guys!! So pretty much I love watching videos and reading posts about what products people have used up; yeah, I know, I'm weird. The cool thing is you actually get to see what people think about the product!
Because of my love with "empties" I decided to start doing them. Maybe there's someone out there with my same opinion! Relax and read, hope you guys enjoy!

 - Bath & Body Works IntoThe Wild Body Lotion: I really like Bath & Body Works body lotions, they have amazing smells and the smell stays for a really long time. I have gotten a bunch of compliments from the Into the wild smell, it has like a tropical, fruity smell that wakes you up!

Paul Mitchell The Detangler Conditioner: I tried this small sample and I really didn't think it did that much, I would definitely not repurchase it!

Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo: I freakin love this shampoo! I have repurchase it a ton of times and I'm going to repurchase it again. It's a clarifying shampoo, I don't use it on it's own, I have try it alone and it does not work that great! I use first my favorite shampoo which is my clear something smooth shampoo and then I use this one, I think it's like the best combo ever, I have been using it for a really long time, maybe 10 months! And by the way it's smells AMAZIIING!!

Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner: Another sample. I think this conditioner was ok, it was like normal. I would not repurchase it!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes: Touchy subject for me. I have tried a lot of make up removers towelettes, and I always come back to this ones, they are amazing, they take everything, they don't make my face itchy or sensitive! I have repurchase this a thousand of times I would continue to do it.

OPI RapiDry Top Coat: I got this baby sample in a set! I tried and it was ok, it dried up really fast, so that is a con. I think there are cheaper and better options out there. I would not repurchase it!

 - L'oreal Magic Lumi Concealer: I loveee this concealer, it brightens up your hole face and it's light! Overall it's a really good concealer! I would definitely buy it again!

Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Mint anti-bacterial hand gel: I really like these anti bacterial gels, this smell was great!

BiorĂ© Nose Pore Strips: I really like nose pore strips, these worked really good. I would repurchase them!

- Sally Hansen Fast Acting Polish Remover: I really don't know what to say about this. It was a good nail polish remover, it removed every color, it didn't left my hands dry! Mmmm, that's all!

Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner: This is a really good conditioner, I like to rotate my conditioners but this is a line that I always come back to, they smell really good, they leave my hair soft, they are affordable, yada yada! I would repurchase it!

OPI Nail Strengthener: This really makes a difference, I've been using this for years, and my nails almost never break! I would repurchase it!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar gel moussant purifiant: I really like this face wash, I've been using them for years. They are really good when I'm with sensitive skin. I love the scent that it has! I would definitely repurchase it!

Well, that was all, hope you guys enjoy this post, and let me know in the comment below if you like empties posts!!

My OPI Glitter Nail Polishes • Nails

Hi guys! Don't you like glitter? It's just one of the best inventions! My favorite way to wear it is on nails! So today I'm showing you a piece of my nail polish collection! After, I can show you guys my non OPI glitter nail polish collection! Let's start!

Random fact: this was my first nail polish ever!
I got this nail polish a long time ago, but it's still one of my all time favorites! This is not a chunky glitter polish, it's really sheer so be sure to put a color under! I recommend using any type of blue tone or black nail polish! There’s a lot of depth to this polish, which makes it special! You can buy it here.

This polish! It has really chunky glitter, multicolor! Just like the name says! It's like a rainbow on your nails! You can buy it here.

Divine swine, definitely one of my favs! I have used it a LOT! I really like wearing it with OPI "Pamplona purple", I have a NOTD about it, so if you want to see it just click here. You can buy it here.

For me, this nail polish has become a tradition! Every time around christmas I put it on my nails! In my opinion this screams Christmas! I normally use this with a red polish underneath, but I'm sure it will still look good with nothing underneath. I have NOTD here. You can buy it here.

Teenage Dream is a baby pink glitter polish! It has a thick consistency, but surprisingly easy to apply! This looks gorgeous with a baby pink color underneath! I really like this nail polish! You can buy it here.

In the picture above you have swatches of every color! As you can see "Excuse Moi" and "Teenage Dream" are really opaque, so you really don't need to apply a color underneath! Every swatch is just on swept!

Hope you guys enjoy this post!! What's you favorite glitter nail polish?

June Favorites • 2013

Hi guys!! Today I'm showing you my June favorites!! I hope you guys enjoy!! So just lay back and read!

Maybelline Baby Lips// in Grape Vine
This is my favorite baby lips, the color payoff that leaves is really pretty. It's like a shiny berry color! I have a full review of the baby lips here.

L'oréal Nude Magique BB Concealer
I was helping my mom choosing a new concealer, and she said I could choose one for myself, so I choose this one, I have never heard anything about it, so I just decided to try it. Turns out that  I love it, I apply it on my dark circles and it covers everything, it really like and I love the application, it'slike a rollerball. If you want me to review it just comment below!

Bodycology body cream// in Toasted Vanilla Sugar
This came in a value set. It supposed to be a body cream but I started using it as a hand cream and this literally is the best hand cream I have ever tried!!

L'occitane Angelica Hydration Cream
So while I was in my trip my mom noticed that I was using a really bad face moisturizing and she wanted me to use a good one, surprise, surprise, she gave me this face cream. I was just shocked, I had never tried anything L'occitane because they are expensive! The point is that I tried it and I fell in love, it's so light and it's organic, it really makes my face look glowy and awesome! I love it!

Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Lip Balm
This  lip balm is amazing! It smells AMAZING! I apply it before going to sleep, and I just want to eat it!

Slatkin & Co. Candle// in Pineapple Orchid
This candle have lasted me a lot!! It's smells really good and it just fills my whole room with a good smell!!

Knuckle rings
I have been loving knuckle rings! These are the two I have, the silver one is from Urban Outfitters and the gold one is from a random store in New York!

Favorite movies:

The Holiday

The other day my mom and I watched this movie, so we watched it and we both loved it! It's just amazing and we both cried!! A definite favorite of mine!

Made of Honor

My dad watched this movie, yes, my dad, and he thought I would like it, so I'm sick, yeah, it sucks, the good thing is that I have time to watch movies and I watched this one, and it's so cute!!

 Now You See Me

I went to the cinema the other day with a friend and we wanted to see Safe Heaven, the thing is, we didn't get in time, so we decided to see this movie, and I really wasn't expecting anything good. I LOVEEEED IT. So many good actors (yes, I'm referring to Dave Franco)!

How to follow me? • Google reader going away!

Picture from here
Hi guys! I am going to leave this post sweet and short! Some of you may know that if you follow blogs using Google Reader (or follow blogs at all), I'm sure you've heard that Google Reader is going away, and soon!!  Like this Monday! This means that if you receive updates from my blog and the rest of the blogs you follow via Google Reader or if you have subscribed to blogs via GFC (Google Friend Connect), you will no longer be subscribed to those blogs unless you do something by another via!

You just have to do it before Monday. After Monday, all the hard work you put into finding just the perfect blogs for you will be gone.

Something that I recommend is Bloglovin! I personally use it to follow the blogs that I like, and it's amazing, you can organize by categories and it's really easy to find the blogs that you like and to follow them! It has a very simple layout, a clean look, and a great search feature that allows you to find blogs like the ones you already follow. It to has ways to categorize your blogs and is a lot faster than the old Google Reader.

So if you want another way to follow blogs (and me ! ) I recommend Bloglovin! I have a button in the side bar if you want to follow me on there!

But in case here's another one:

Follow on Bloglovin

April/May Favorites • 2013

Hi everyone!! Hope you all are having an awesome friday! Today I'm showing you my April/May favorites! I know I'm really late, but I was really busy! Enjoy!!

Nivea Soft Cream
As I told you guys on my last post, I went on vacations with my family! And I got a really bad sunburnt on my back, so every night I applied this, and it really help soothing and refreshing my back! It's light and has a good smell!

Essie nail polish// in "Fun in the Gondola"
I bought this recently, and I love it! It is a cool toned mauved pink, perfect for everyday wear!

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush// in "Hot Tamale"
Maybelline dream bouncy blushes, ugh, a really controversial product in the beauty world! It's a bit tricky to apply, at first I used to apply it with my fingers and I hated it, but then I try with a flat blush brush and it worked like wonders!

EOS lip balm// in"Balm Summer Fruit Smooth Sphere"
I like EOS lip balms! At first I didn't like them because I felt that they didn't hydrate my ups! But after using them constantly I started to love it! I think the trick is that you have to just "break them in" just as new shoes!

Rose bud lip salve
I know, I know, I've already talk about this on a monthly favorites!! But this month I found other uses for this product! I was reading some beauty articles and they said that this was great as a highlighter and as a brow gel, so I tried it and they were right! Even if it sound weird it works amazing! So overall I freakin love this product!

Calvin Klein Aviator Sunglasses
I love this sunglasses, I can't stop wearing them! I got them at an outlet, at a really good price! They match everything!

Favorite Food Favorites: bagels and cream cheese!

Favorite TV shows and movies:

Oblivion Movie

I watched this movie on April and I loved it! It was really good! Tom Cruise acted really good! In general, a great sci-fi movie!

The Host

I watched this movie with some friends and I really liked it! I wished I read the book before watching the movie but I couldn't resist! I'm not really sure if I'm reading the book because I hate knowing what happens! Great actors! Two hotties! Overall a great movie!

Iron Man 3

My family is a big Iron Man fan, so we went and watched and I think it was the best so far!! If you haven't watched any Iron Man movie, please watch it!!

Underemployed

I finished the season, and I was so saaaad!! I would really like that they do another season!! Please MTV!!

Favorite City: Chicago (some pics that I took)

My Pool/Beach Essentials • Summer 2013

Hi guys!!!!!!
I'm back!! The past months have been crazy; I was so busy with school, then I went on family vacations and now I'm catching up with school work!

One of the places I went was tropical! Beach, pool, sand, etc! While I was there I thought why not show you guys what I really bring?

1) A book: I always bring a book with me, one of my favorite things to do is to read. My current reading material (so fancy) is "Pandemonium" Lauren Oliver's second book in the "Delirium" trilogy (one of my favs).

2) Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix: I usually put a pea size amount on my hair before going to the beach/pool, I think is a way to give my hair some shine!

3) Sunglasses: This are my new sunglasses. I have been looking for the perfect sunglasses, and I finally found them. I wanted some aviator, I found this on sale by Calvin Klein, they are just perfect!

4) Nivea Soft body lotion: This is a must for me! I am pale so I get sunburnt, A LOT! I like to moisturize, so I like to use it to refresh the parts that I got sunburnt!

5) Face sunblock: I freakin love the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer spf 50. It doesn't break me out, it feels light, it's not oily, it's just AMAZING!

6) Hair band: when it gets really hot or when I go into the pool and I don't want to get my hair wet!

7) Body Sunblock (not shown in the picture): I always carry a spray one, I think is easier! My favorite one is the Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen Spray spf 70.

Hope you guys enjoy this post and have a great day!!
