NOTD & Review: China Glaze- Flip Flop Fantasy ♡

First things first, something that you definitely are going to learn reading this post is that you should always investigate about the product you are buying!

Why am I saying writing this?

Well let me first start as a normal blog. Today guys I'm talking about a really famous nail polish that have been around: China Glaze- Flip Flop Fantasy!

Flip Flop Fantasy is from thre 2010 summer Poolside Collection. It is a super bright neon pink-coral that REALLY GETS ATTENTION!

Neons are really hard to capture in camera, so it was a pain taking pics of this polish! Please try to imagine the color but much brighter!

SO the story behind this is, the other day I went to a beauty store with a friend and we both bought this same polish! I was so excited for wearing this polish and when I started applying it I have to say that is the hardest polish to apply that I have tried, it never brushes on evenly. Also the formula is really watery. It is so streakey.

I was really disappointed because the color is soooo pretty and also because all my other China Glaze have a really good formula. My answer to my disappointment was investigate!

Neon colors are always like this type of formula! I thought that I was the only one with this experience but I read some forums and apparently I wasn't the only one.

What can you do if you love this polish but it's a nightmare to apply it?

1.- USE 3 COATS! I only apply this polish with 2 coats and I wasn't happy with the result.
2.- If you want a more polished look, apply a white nail polish before applying this polish (neons in general)
3.- Use a top coat! Neons normally dry matte, but not a pretty matte so be sure to apply a top coat!

NOTD: Rally Pretty Pink!

As most of you know, I LOVE nail polish, and I have found THE nail polish! It is from the OPI Serena Glam Slam! France collection. This collection is based in  two Glam Slam! Duos. I have the duo that comes with OPI Rally Pretty Pink and Red Shatter. This collection was launched in May from 2011.

OPI Rally Pretty Pink (2 coats)

The pics above were Rally Pretty Pink!It is a rosy pink lilac with pink and gold micro-glitter. The gold is very predominant and it creates a peachy duo-chrome effect. The effect that creates remind me a lot of Chanel Peridot!

I think this polish requires two coats but if you like really opaque nails I would recommend 3 coats!

Nail Polish Spring Trends

Hi sweeties,
You know when its cold the only thing you can think is about the warm weather, that mean's SPRING! The first thing that we think of spring is COLORS = oportunity for cosmetic companies to take new trends! Today I am just showing you my fav nail polish spring trends for this year. Hope you all enjoy!

1.- Hot Pinks with some shimmer! Hot pinks are always the trend so what's new? GLITTER OR SHIMMER! A trend for this spring is a hot pink with some shimmer to just spice it up! A good example is Butter London- Disco Biscuit (Nordstrom $14)

2.- Pastel Colors! Maybe you have already heard about this trend! Pastels are coming big for spring, in clothes, makeup and nail polishes! A good example is Dior Vernis- Garden Party (Nordstrom $23)

3.- Orange! Lovely orange. Perfect for spring, it cheers up your whole outfit and day! Essie make great oranges! Great example is Essie- Braziliant (Nordstrom $8)

4.- The weird green! A lot of new collections have this greeny polish. I just don't know how to describe it but it's a huge trend right now, especially the O.P.I- Did it on 'Em from the Nicki Minaj collection. (Ricky’s $9.99)

5.- Neon Colors! This is also a huge trend in nail polish as well in clothes! Neon colors give that edgy pop for spring! A great example is China Glaze- Neon Celtic Sun ( sallybeauty.com $5.99 $5)

6.- Nudes! I love this trend. This is more if you want an elegant look! Maybe for a wedding or an especial event! The nude nail polish gives the illusion of the perfect nail! A great example is Deborah Lippmann- Naked. (Barneys $16)

NOTD: Essie Shine of Times!

Hi guys!

Many of you may already heard about the Lux effects collection from Essie. One of the products that was on my wishlist for a really long time was Essie Shine of times, one of the most beautiful glitters that I have seen! So on one of my recent hauls I bought the Essie Shine of times. I almost shout when I saw it at the counter. So today I am showing you how I wore it!

Look at that! When you have your nails moving this is the effect that shows! Maybe it's just me but the colors remind me of "The Hunger Games"!

NOTD: Get your mint nail tutorial!

Hi guys, today I am doing a NOTD and is the first time that I try something like this! Doing like a nail art type on my nails is new to me, but I am liking it!

If you like trying new things, you would like this! I get this idea from a picture I saw at Pinterest!

And my take on it!

From left to right: China Glaze Tinsel Town and China Glaze Re- Fresh Mint

What you will need:

- A non glitter polish
- A glitter polish
- A top coat
- A base coat
- Tape


How?

1.- Paint your nails with the Non glitter polish, in my case the China Glaze Re- Fresh Mint polish.

2.- Let it completely dry. If you don't let it dry completly when you put the tape your nail will get ruined! I painted my nails and then the next day I did the glitter part!

3.- Put tape in a triangular shape.

4.- Fill the shape with the glitter polish!

5.- Wait for about a min. and take the tape.

6.- Put a top coat!

So that's it to get the design, pretty easy!

NOTD: Magnetic Nails?!?

Hi guys, today I am doing a nail of the day! Have you heard about a magnetic polish? Well for christmas I got the Nails Inc Magnetic Polish, and I have heard before about it so I really wanted to try it!

You can buy this polish in Amazon and Sephora. These are sold for $16. They have 5 different colors!

When I use it I wanted to add some glitter to spice it up a little bit!

I have it in Trafalgar Square and the glitter is from China Glaze in Snow Globe!

Beauty Haul

I have always been contemplating where the word "haul" comes from. So with the power of google I look what did the word means and this was what it came on the screen:

haul/hôl/

Verb:	(of a person) Pull or drag with effort or force.
Noun:	An amount of something gained or acquired.
Synonyms:	verb. drag - pull - draw - tug - tow - trail - lug - transport noun. catch - haulage - tug - draught - pull

So clearly that didn't make any sense so that took me to the Urban Dictionary and this was what I get:

in short: a shopping spree



a vlog titled "Makeup Haul" or "(Store Name) Haul" is a video showing a shopping spree in that given area, showing products or clothing that will usually be featured in future How To, or tutorial videos

"Hey guys! I'm here with a back-to-school makeup haul! I should have a tutorial with these products up in a little bit"

"If you were wondering where I got these products, refer back to my Haul vlog."

Well that didn't took me to something I didn't know. But the point of this post is that I am doing a haul.

Last week I went to a beauty store and bought some products so I thought I should share!

I bought the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. This was something that I had my eye on for a really long time! I didn't had a bronzer and I really wanted one without shimmer so this was THE ONE! Also a bonus point is that is made with real cocoa and it's smells amazing!

The next thing is the Too Faced Eye Love Palette. One of the things that I had in mind to buy was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance but I really dind't wanted to pay that money for a shadow primer. Also I was contemplating in getting  the Too Faced Naked Eye palette. The thing is that I found this palette and it has 2 eyeshadows from each palette and a bonus is that it came with a shadow insurance!

The next thing I got was this Maybelline Trio in Bronze Haze. It has such pretty colors!

I also got some nail polish! As you may know I am obsessed with nail polishes! So I got this set from the muppets collection. I love this collection, I already got the mini set of the collection also I got a similar set that had Divine Swine with Pepe's purple passion. This set came with "Rainbow Collection", that is a beautiful multicolor glitter with different sizes. It also came with "Excuse Moi" that I have already tried from the mini set!

So I also got a China Glaze nail polish in "Re- Fresh Mint". It is a beautiful minty color!

And for last one of the products that I have been looking for so long. It is from the Luxe effects collection called "Shine of Times", I just can't explin it, it is just so pretty! Soon I am doing a NOTD!

NOTD: Swiming in some Mermaid Tears!

Hi guys, today I have just a short NOTD. At first I wasn't doing this NOTD but I have got so many comments and positive feedback when I am wearing this nail polish (also one of my fav nail polishes on my collection) and it is OPI Mermaid Tears, from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection! I got this nail polish for my birthday, that was last september. Before my birthday I saw a picture of the collection and I fell in love with it (but  I just got 1 nail polish from the collection).

DISCLAIMER: My NOTD aren't all the nail polishes that I use, I just post NOTD that have been commented!

From Left to Right:
- Silver Shatter: A pretty silver color with a shatter texture.
-  Skull & Glossbones: an amazing light grey.
- Steady as she rose: A baby pink color. 
- Sparrow me the drama: A gorgeous barbie pink.
- Planks a lot: A pretty lavander color.
- Stranger tides: a murky sage light green.
- Mermaid tears:

This is a picture that I took when I was wearing this polish. I describe this color as a tiffany blue color mixed with a little bit of green!

Finger Paint Nail Polish Review!

Hi sweeties. Today I am doing a reviw for the Finger Paint brand. The other day I was in a salon and they were selling this brand. I have never heard of it but I wanted to try it out. This was $5.00 so I think is really cheap for the quality. I am so IMPRESSED by this brand.

PROS: - Very long lasting, usually 4-5 days

- Long range of colors

- Different type of glitters and colors

- Good price

- Apply smoothly

- Thin brush

- Pretty Presentation

- The color is very true as it shows the packaging

CONS: - Sometimes the consistency is a little watery

So if you ask me if I would buy it again. Definitely I would buy it again!! I love it! And again it has a great variety of colors!!

You should try it out!!!

Nail Polish Obsession Tag

Hi sweeties!

Since the nail polish obsession tag appear in Youtube I wanted to do it, so here I am doing it! This tag was created by Kacey (sparkliebarbiexo) in Youtube!!

1. What's your favorite nail polish company?
I have to say O.P.I. I love it because it has the biggest range of nail polish!
2. Glitter or no glitter?
I love both. Sometimes you need a little bit of sparkle. As you can se on my NOTD I have been obsessed with glitter!
3. OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?
I love the 3 of them. But I have more O.P.I.
4. When do you change your nail polish?
I change it normally every saturday.
5. What's your favorite color on your nails?
I love blues and purples on my nails!
6. Darks or Brights?
Love both! In summer and spring brights and in winter and fall darks.
7. What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?
Right now I am wearing Essie "Buy me a cameo" with China Glaze "Snow Globe". I am doing a NOTD!

8. Matte Nails--In or Out?
I haven't try matte nails, but I would really like to try them. I have seen some pictures on Pinterest and I think they look pretty!

9. French Manicure?
I think that in other people it looks pretty but I really don't like it. I would love to try the matte nails with a glossy tip!
10. Favorite Winter Color?
O.P.I "Russian Navy".

Nail polish Haul

Hi guys, today I have a small haul jus showing you some nail polish holiday sets from O.P.I!! I was so excited when I saw the sets at my drugstore!! So mainly I was looking for the "Muppets" collection but I could not find it the only one I found was a smal set!! Let me show you the pictures and explain you!

Favorite shoes of the month (October)

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of posts, I have been really busy with exams and some projects that I am working on!! I have a lot of cool posts coming soon.

Today I doing a favorite shoes of the month, these posts have been some of the most viewed on my blog. In this post I tried to choose fall shoes, also I tried to add makeup. Nothing more to talk so here it is the post!!

NOTD: Polka dots!

Hi lovelies, so today I painted my toe nails and I just wanted to show you guys how I do it, it's pretty simple and it gives a fun touch to your nails!

This is the finish product:

So the things you are going to need:

A top coat and a nail strenghther, the ones I am using are: as a top coat I'm using a "Seche Vite" top coat, for me this is the best top coat ever and it dry really fast, and for the nail strengther I am using "O.P.I Nail Strengther".

The next thing you will need is a bobby pin, I recommend the round point ones beacause they do more precise dots, in the picture I have an  example.

 Then you just need the colors you are using, in my case for the base color I'm using a blue color from O.P.I called "Suzi says feng shui" (this was from the Hong Kong collection I recommend buying it at Amazon, beacause it is limited edition, I bought mine at Amazon!) for some dots I am using a grey- ish color from O.P.I called "Moon over Mumbai", I bought it at Ulta and for the last color that I also use for some dots is a lila color from O.P.I called "Rumple's wiggin" (This is from the shrek collection, this as well I reccomend buying it at Amazon).

So let's start:

1.- Start applying the nail strengther in all of your nails, this is to protect your nails.

2.- Apply the base color you are using, in my case I'm using "Suzi says feng shui", for the color I got I apply 2 coats. Let it dry!

3.- When the base color is done take your bobby pin and put on a paper a little dot with the other colors, put a little bit on the bobby pin and start dotting it on your nails!

4.- Apply a top coat to all of your nail. And your polka dot nails are done, is that easy!!
